Carbon Reduction Plan for Imaging Beyond Ltd

Carbon Reduction Plan

Supplier Name: Imaging Beyond Ltd

Publication Date: 19 May 2025

Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Imaging Beyond Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government targets and NHS sustainability objectives. As a healthcare AI startup, we recognise our responsibility to minimise environmental impact while supporting innovation that reduces unnecessary clinical procedures, travel, and resource use.

Our approach to sustainability is embedded within our operational decisions and will evolve as the company grows.

Carbon Emissions Footprint

Carbon emissions represent the greenhouse gas emissions generated during a defined period and provide a reference point against which future emissions reductions can be measured.

Current Reporting Year

  • Reporting Year: 2025

Methodology

Emissions for the 2025 reporting year were calculated using the Greenly Earth online carbon accounting tool, applying recognised greenhouse gas accounting methodologies and appropriate UK Government conversion factors.

Emissions Summary (tCO₂e)

Emissions ScopeTotal (tCO₂e)
Scope 1 (Direct emissions) 0.9
Scope 2 (Purchased electricity) < 0.1
Scope 3 (Selected categories) 9.6
Total Emissions 10.2

Scope 3 emissions include relevant indirect sources such as business travel and purchased services, in line with PPN 06/21 requirements.

Emissions Reduction Targets

In support of our Net Zero 2050 commitment, Imaging Beyond Ltd has adopted the following operational carbon reduction measures:

  1. Low-carbon travel: prioritising rail travel over car or air travel wherever feasible

  2. Energy efficiency: minimising electricity consumption across office and remote working environments

  3. Paperless operations: avoiding printing and operating predominantly through digital workflows

As a startup with a small workforce and evolving operational footprint, it is not yet possible to forecast with confidence whether absolute emissions will increase or decrease over the next five years. Growth in headcount and activity may lead to higher absolute emissions; however, we remain committed to reducing emissions intensity and embedding sustainability into all future scaling decisions.

As the business matures, we will collect multi-year emissions data and report trends with greater statistical confidence.
